All our GPs have high quality dermatoscopes to closely examine skin lesions. They perform regular skin cancer checks and monitor any new or changing lesions. If suspicious lesions are detected they will either be removed in the Surgery or patients may be referred to specialists for excision.
Skin cancers are now more common than ever due to our increasing age and exposure to the UV rays. If you think any skin lesions are changing in size, shape or colour as well as itching or bleeding, then it is even more important to have a consultation with a doctor.
All our GPs provide general dermatology care including management of eczema, dermatitis, rosacea and psoriasis and mole checks. They can easily refer to s specialist if necessary.
